Tangerang – The Chairman of the Indonesian Retail Merchants Association (Aprindo), Solihin, has articulated Aprindo’s vision to become an inclusive, progressive, and highly competitive organization in facing global economic challenges. One of the key strategies is to encourage both modern and traditional retail sectors to adapt to digital transformation.
“We will further strengthen member collaboration and build solidarity among members to drive innovation and competitiveness in the retail industry. This is the era of collaboration, and we will ensure that it also happens within Aprindo,” emphasized Solihin during the Aprindo press conference following the 8th National Conference of Aprindo at Soll Marina Hotel Tangerang on November 17, 2024.
Additionally, Solihin, who also serves as the Corporate Affairs Director of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (Alfamart), will actively voice the aspirations of DPD and DPC members from Aceh to Papua and advocate for policies that support the sustainability and growth of the retail sector at both national and regional levels.
In fulfilling this role, he is committed to prioritizing dialogue and collaboration in formulating economic policies, especially those impacting the retail sector. This includes supporting government socio-economic programs such as reducing stunting rates and promoting MSME products.
“Support for MSMEs is crucial. We must provide greater space for local products in modern retail networks while strengthening the position of MSMEs in the supply chain,” he asserted.
